Advantages: Contract cost, look and feel of the unit, integrated facebook and skype etc.

Disadvantages: Camera, sound quality

OK, so I've just been reading some of the reviews for this phone and I have to warn you this is going to be more of a basic layperson opinion on how I've found it so far rather than an in depth technical rundown!

I got this phone about 6 months ago to replace.....wait for it... a nokia 3210 (pretty vintage I know). That gives you an idea of the technical expertise I was approaching the INQ1 with. I was looking for a phone where the keypad's covered when it's in my bag and the slider on this model seems pretty sturdy so far and although the phone's compact, the buttons are still large enough to be useable. I've found the internet quite easy to use but mainly for basic things like checking email. To be honest if you want more than that then you're probably going to be disappointed with anything less than an iphone (which will be lovely as soon as they get cheaper!). Having said that, I have watched stuff on youtube on it before now. Battery life is good, it'll last about a week depending on how much you use the web etc. I have to admit, I haven't used the facebook or skype gimmicks much but having them built in (so you receive facebook messages like you receive texts for example) is clearly really handy if you keep in contact with people that way.

On the downside, it can be a bit on the slow side loading up when you turn it on though if like me you rarely turn yours off that won't be an issue. Like I say the internet's not brilliant but it depends what you want it for. Also, the sound quality isn't great even for voice calls. The worst feature however is probably the camera. If you think you'll use phone camera a lot (or at all) this is probably not the phone for you as all pictures seem to come out dark and blurry (maybe for the best in many cases!).

The main reason I bought this phone though was for the contract deal which I've just checked and seems to be still running. For £15 a month I get only 75 mins but unlimited texts, unlimited 3 to 3 minutes, unlimited internet and unlimited skype. If you don't make too many voice calls this is an awesome deal. Before I got it a few people warned me against 3 and said it had rubbish signal but I've had no problems including in some quite rural areas and I know other people who say they've had no problems either and that it was maybe just when it was a new network. I guess the best thing is to find some people on 3 near you and ask them. By the way, when I got mine, if you gave the number of someone else on 3 when you buy the phone you both get £30 credit so that's your first 2 months sorted.

Summary: Stylish and does the basics plus a few snazzy extras but lacking in some areas.
