Advantages: Great features

Disadvantages: Poor quality

Two months ago, my old contract was up and I was looking for a new phone. After several rubbish LG phones which packed in after less than 12 months each, I was determined to have more luck this time and find a phone that looked good, offered great functionality and was built to last. I scoured the internet for reviews and deals and came across the INQ1 phone which had been voted Mobile of the Year. I thought with that kind of accolade I couldn't go wrong and at £15 a month for unlimited texts and internet it looked like a bargain.
I was expecting something to rival the I-phone (okay, I know at that price I couldn't expect apple technology) but I was sorely disapointed. Looks wise, the phone is cheap looking and plasticy - it looks very dated. With regards to functionality, it does offer a lot. The way facebook links into your contacts is a big plus and the fact you can use skype and MSN free of charge is a real benefit. I do like the way texts, emails, messages, fb mail, pokes and requests all get stored in the message inbox. However, all of these features only work when you are in an area that has good 3 reception and given that I live in london and struggle to get a decent reception, I don't hold out much hope for anybody to be getting the most out of these features.
With regards to longevity, I have had this phone for two months and I have already dropped it on the floor and the camera cracked. As others have commented it often crashes as well so I don't hold out much hope for it lasting the 18 month contract.
I would say this phone is ideal for 13-16 year olds who would appreciate the functionality over the quality and think it would be best bought on PAYG rather than contract so it can be easily replace if it goes wrong.

Summary: designed for teenagers, cheap but poor quality
