LG Chocolate KG800
Advantages: Good sound quality.
Disadvantages: Poor signal, not enough features to be worthwhile.
The LG KG800, also known as the Choclate, is now a fairly old phone and can now be picked up fairly cheaply on a good amount of networks.
I personally have this phone on Tesco's network, and I have experienced some signal issues, especially when indoors. This can be irratitating to say the least, namely when the phone decides that since the signal strength isn't strong enough it should delete your text message, leaving you to have to retype it all again, and relocate to a place with a better signal. I haven't experienced this phone on any other networks and I am therefore going to assume that it has a fairly poor signal strength overall.
The phone has all of the basic features. It has a colour screen, with a simple to use menu. It has the ability to make phone calls, send text messages, play music, access the mobile internet and send and recieve files via bluetooth. It also has a touch-screen coupled with conventional buttons when the phone slides open. The touch pad can often be irritating, as I find the buttons on to be too small, and I have pressed the wrong button many a time. Overall however the phone doesn't have that many features. There aren't many ring tones, there is only one game (Sudoku), there isn't an expandable memory and the camera quality isn't really all that good compared to phones that are out now, especially when taking videos.
One huge complaint I have about this phone, which really is minor flaw, but is hugely annoying, it that it has the "Hang Up" button on the side of the phone, in the exact place when you would usually hold the phone to make a call! You can be in the middle of a phone call, and accidently hang up on the person you are calling leaving the person on the other end of the line bewildered.
I definately wouldn't advise that you buy this phone.
Summary: Buy a similair priced alternative.
