Advantages: Easy to use, cute
Disadvantages: Bad features
I purchased this in Lilac when it was on offer in Carphone Warehouse, PAYG for £39.99 (In December 2007)
Now for me this phone was amazing at the time. I'd only ever had rubbish phones, and decided to get a good one with my christmas money. It's nice and small and slides up for you to use the keypad. It's not too heavy, not too light.
The front of the phone has a touchpad for you to use the menu buttons, arrows, call etc. It's very streamline and the charger/headphone jack has a lid to keep it out of the way. There's also volume keys on the left side, and the off switch and mp3 button on the right.
As for the features. This phone doesn't have the most amazing up to date features. It comes with a USB lead, to put media onto your phone. It has an mp3 player, which stores about 20 songs. Not great but enough to maybe switch up your ringtones a little. Photographs can also be put onto the phone if you want to use them as a background or simply to put the photographs taken using the camera on the phone, onto your computer. The camera isn't great, sadly. There's also a voice recorder and video recorder. Both of which can be uploaded to your computer using the USB lead given.
*The Good Points*
This phone is actually pretty good. I've since purchased a new one, but the year I had it, I did love it. I bought mine in Lilac but wanted the Black. However, the Lilac one is really pretty. The battery life is amazing, it lasts a long long time depending on how little you use your mp3 player. The choice of default backgrounds is good, there's plenty. You can have your menu set as either silver or black, which is nice to switch it up sometimes. It's extremely easy to use, you'll be able to use it pretty much from the beginning as the controls are simple. Good size screen, nice and clear.
*The Bad Points*
Although this is a good mobile phone, there are a few bad points sadly. There isn't a lot of memory for photographs and songs, if you have an iPod, then this shouldn't be a problem but for someone like me who would actually use this feature, it's a little frustrating. The internet on this isn't good at all. It's extremely slow and if you're on PAYG, you're going to be charged regardless of the page loading or not. When the page does come up, it's very small and pointless. There's no zoom option or 'font bigger' option. The phone only allows you to keep 200 messages in total (inbox and outbox combined), for someone who texts a lot, it's annoying having to empty your messages multiple times a day. The phone for phone calls isn't very clear and is often quite 'crackly'.
Overall it's not a bad phone. As you can see there's good and bad things to say about it like there is any phone. If you're wanting a basic phone, then it's decent enough and pretty cute. If you're someone who wants all these fancy features, i wouldn't buy it if i was you.
Summary: Not bad I guess
