Advantages: Good menu navigation and perfect touch sensitivity
Disadvantages: Hard to text and camera not up to scratch
The KP500 is an attractive, modern slim phone. I fell in love with it, when i saw it in an orange shop some months back, and without even considering the ease of use , I bought it.
I like text messaging, in fact I hardly ever bother phoning, I would just text, well that was before my LG. Much as I love it, and constantly admire its beauty, I can't deny it's terribly hard to use if you like quick text. You have 3 choices, the normal number screen you'd see on a non-touch phone, except you have to use touch, a QWERTY touch pad, or handwriting recognition. I was very excited about handwriting recognition as I thought this was going to make it easier to text. But I was sadly mistaken, fun as it as, it only makes things harder, and takes forever. But I do like the draw pad though, you can draw pictures and send them to people, although some phones can't open them.
The touch screen is just the right sensititivity though and the shape and size are a perfect fit, for my small hand anyway. The menu is easy to navigate, however I am disapointed with the camera, I find it bad quality considering it's megapixels, and when you press the capture button there is a second before it takes the picture, so many a good photo has been lost or ruined.
I wouldn't say it was the best phone I've had, I preferred my old motorola, I could text at a hundred words a minute, but for the price I paid it'is fair and as I said, really pretty.
Summary: A nice phone, with many good features, but not for a texter.
