Advantages: fun, good battery, so many features, cheap!
Disadvantages: the charger cover and i worry about how easy it is to break
What is it?
Amazingly, the lg cookie is classed as a "budget" phone. I got mine, one Vodafone, with 100 minutes and 500 texts for onyl £10 a month! I was actually looking for a sim only deal, but this was turned out cheaper that all the O2, orange and 3 sim only deals! With just as many minutes! (Less texts, buts 500 a month is enough 4 me!)
So, what can I tell you about this phone. Well, its a touch screen phone, similar to the iphone. I heavily recommend if you get this phone, get like a leather flip pouch or something to protect it, as if you scratch that touch screen, its going to be hard to replace!
There are only 3 buttons on the front that aren't touch screen, one being to answer and start calls, one to "multitask" and the other to close applications or stop phone calls.
The mobile has a compartment for the stylus, which stores horizontally at the bottom. It fits well, and so far hasn't come lose.
So, the features?
A 3 mb camera
An "accelerometer" (basically means that if you tilt the phone, it recognises this, and will adjust the keypad to a keyboard layout when texting for example)
a video camera
widgets
games (some games use the "shake" ability of the phone, like a dice game)
Being able to input text by normal mobile pad, keyboard, and by handwriting recognition (takes some getting used to)
So overall?
This phone was the best deal i could find these days on soley a pay monthly contract for the minutes and texts given, the closest being from 3 network, including a similar mobile (i think off the top of my head it was a tocco or a dj) 75 mins and unlimited texts, but i wanted more minutes, and as i said, i will struggle as it is to get through those 500 texts!
This is basically an iphone for those on a budget, with a worse camera, and not as good internet, but as i never use the internet on my phone, and by having a worse camera, the cookie can be thinner, these two things did not bother me.
I would argue this is the best phone of its class (i refer to the cheap contract mobile class), with the only main negative being its "robustness". Also, i have doubts whether touch screen actually saves you any time over a conventional mobile layout, but its fun to play with!
One or two other negatives i have experienced is the tab that cover the charger is not as good compared to my previous phone, the motorolla w377. This one is made out of hard plastic, and is fidgety to take of, whereas my old one was rubber.
Summary: best phone i have ever had, though i have only had 3, a w377 and an a50!
