Great phone easy to loose and not too expensive in case it gets lost and/or broken

This is a great phone, especially if all you want it for is the basics. E.g. calling and texting. It is also a fantastic phone if like me it is liable to end up falling out of your pocket and onto the floor as mine has survived many a bashing. I have never had any problem receiving or making calls and have always been able to hear clearly what is being said on the other end of the line. I've never had any issues with texting either both with using predictive text and without predictive text. The camera is also excellent quality and I was happily surprised when I transferred the photos I had taken with my phone onto my laptop and saw the true quality of them, definitely great if your out and about want to take a photograph and have no proper camera with you. I also found it extremely easy to link the phone up to the laptop to both charge the battery and to transfer pictures and music files. I found that if you want a phone to listen to music often then this is not the phone for you as it quickly uses up the battery power but apart from that the battery life is good even now when my phone is a year or so old it still lasts a good week before it needs charging. I would recommend this to anyone who only really wants to use a phone for calling or texting anything more hi-tech than that and I would not recommend this phone.

LG GB220 Mobile Phone - Pink

Now let me start by saying that this isn't an all singing and all dancing mobile phone, this is more of a basic call and text mobile. I initially bought this after I accidentally dropped my previous phone and I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money to replace it. Like most of the world I would find it hard to be without one of these now but I'm not too bothered about having all the extras and features that are available I just want something reliable.

      --Calls--

I have never had any trouble when using this phone to make calls or receive calls and they have always been easy to hear without any interference. Essentially, this phone does the bare minimum function of a phone, it allows you to call and receive calls. It does allow you to see who is calling from the small screen on the front and then if you want to answer simply flip the phone open and say 'hello'.

      --Texts--

The screen on this mobile isn't the best and or the biggest but it is a good enough size and quality to be able to see everything clearly. This is just a basic phone and it is obvious in comparison to the screens of touch phones or even more expensive mobiles. The buttons are easy to use and I find texting is straight forward and pretty problem free.

      --The other features--

This phone does have a 1.3 MP camera, which is ok to use, but it isn't anything special and the photos don't turn out that great. In comparison to some of the other camera phones I have had this one is very basic and doesn't have many extras.

It also has an MP3 player, but it doesn't have that much memory and I haven't added an additional memory card so I don't use this feature at all. I suppose it might come in handy if you're current MP3 player broke and you didn't have a replacement.

It does have most of the basic features that mobile phones are usually equipped with such as Bluetooth, which can on occasion come in handy.

The talk time and standby time are relatively good on this phone, especially if you don't use it as an MP3 player or camera. LG say that the talk time for this mobile phone is around (or up to) 3 hours 20 minutes and the standby time is around (or up to) 300 hours. Personally, I have found that the phone does last quite a while between charging, certainly a lot longer than my husbands iPhone, but then I don't use this as a toy or for entertainment, I use it as a phone.

      --The cost--

At the moment you can buy this from Amazon for £30.36, however, I got mine for around £20 from Asda. It is always worth shopping around to see where the best bargain can be had.

      --To sum--

This is a pretty decent phone if like me you are after something that just does the basic things, but manages to do them relatively well. I have owned this phone for a few months now and I probably will keep it until it breaks or something else catches my attention. I also think that this phone might make a good first phone or a good additional phone if you just want something simple and don't mind it being pink.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this phone. I think for someone who like myself doesn't want anything fancy and just wants a phone to be good at the basics then this deserves four out of five stars. On the other hand my husband would hate having this phone. It all comes down to what you want out of it and what you want to use it for.
