Advantages: Looks funky and lots of stuff to play with
Disadvantages: Doesn't do anything particularly well, short battery life
I bought this phone (in purple) because it had reasonable reviews and I found it for a good price. At first I totally loved the phone - from the delicious chocolate box purple colour, to the shiny screen, to the satisfying slide and click when I opened it, to the smooth look button panel and the funky touch screen.
Unfortunately frustration soon set in. For a start the manual doesn't provide a lot of information about what the various available options mean. Trying to get the phone to do any of the wonderful things it does is mainly a case of trial and error.
In regular use, the phone is not as amazing as first impressions imply. The touch screen is fun, but has a tendency to seize up, and after using a full screen touch screen phone it seems a bit amateurish. The smooth design keypad buttons are really difficult to press accurately for texting. The camera is good quality, but very slow to capture a photo. The handwriting recognition is haphazard. And so on...
Battery life is reasonable on standby, but when in use (even just for texting) it drains pretty quickly - and the indicator is not very informative, it drops from 3 bars to 2 to 1 before you can fire off many more texts.
In summary, if it's gimmicks you want this is a fun phone, but if you're looking for a phone with serious functionality then you are probably better off looking elsewhere.
Saying that, it does the job and having got used to its foibles I am happy with this phone for the money I paid.
