Advantages: Great style, and fun
Disadvantages: Lacking in features
When the LG 'Chocolate' was in its highest glory, LG thought of other means to exploit its popularity - by making few more handsets with similar innovations. So came KG810, the flip design of the LG 'Chocolate' and the Chocolate Platinum, with some improved features and more elegant looks and touches.
There have not been many successful flip phones by LG, though there have been few low-range phones available from 3 network. KG810 has the touch sensitive keys at the front of the handset, when the flip is closed, which are used to controlling music. The external display is 65K and brilliant. The inner screen is 2 inches, which is a little small but good enough for the size of the handset. The keypad is evenly layed out and comfortable, and even the navigational keys are functional and useful.
Unfortunately it does not support any of the DATA features, like EDGE, 3G etc, but it does have bluetooth.
The camera is not great however, with only 1.3MP and it is outdated. Another huge flaw is the inability expand the memory with the memory card, but the internal memory is not too tiny with 128MB, good for few pictures and songs.
Overall, it lacks in features compared to the chocolate phone, and even though the design is nice and stylish, most of all, it does not look cheap. It is compact, with only 14.5mm thin, and great to feel in the hand. Keypad is great, and the user interface is easy to use, though nothing special. A good mid/low-range, which does not seem like a mid range phone, but a high range one.
Summary: Affordable but not very popular
