Advantages: Gorgeous looking with heaps of new accessories and a great video and picture recorder.
Disadvantages: Screen needs protecting as is proan to scratches and doesnt have a headphone jack
My names Katie, and im a viewty addict.
I know it takes a big person to admit when you have a problem, but this viewty obsession doesnt seem even mildly inconvenient.
I got my viewty when i made the big leap between pay as you go and contract. I was stumped between the N95 and the Viewty, but the sleek style of the LG had me swayed and i had to give it a go.
Firstly, and obviously most importantly (!) They viewty looks fantastic. Its not a size zero, but its certainly no beefcake. The large screen gives fantastic visibility and the black on white default setting really sets this phone apart (and for those of you who have poor eyesight as i do, it really helps with the clarity of text messages) As a side note, I would recommend that you use the enclosed screen cover to prevent against scratches.
Being a rooky to touch screen technology, i would worried my dumpy digits would end in a plethora of mis-sent messages to ex-boyfriends and deleting of entire phonebook contents but i couldnt of been more wrong. The technology is pin sharp, and if it does start to fade a swift re-alignment soon solves the problem. Also, the addition of a (also very cool) folding down stylus offers an alternative choice. Essential post-manicure survival thinking there from our new best friends at LG.
Thought my favorite feature has to be the camera. With anti-shake technology and 5 mega-pixel capability you will never miss another drunken slip-up or ironic road sign. The viewty all but removes the need to take a separate camera everywhere you go. Including a very adequate video recorder and amazing photo editing software you really can have hours of fun with this - my personal favourite - drawing beard and glasses on the faces of your loved ones. Isn't technology fantastic?
my only real downpoint with the viewty is the lack of included games, thought obviously with 'web and walk' capabilities (or your network equivalent) The dizzying heights of 'snake' are only a click away. You will be able to scroll away for hours too as the battery life is better most phones id had in the past.
Other features? - this phone acts as a reasonable mp3 player, thought without an additional mini-sd its capability is quite small, and it does lack the convenient headphone jack which other phones in this price range have factored in, so an adapter will be needed. Speaker volume is fairly quiet, but headphone volume is very adequate.
In conclusion, the LG viewty is stylish, adaptable and very good fun. Thought be careful! or you too will end up at LGAnonomous.
Summary: Pretty pretty phone... and now available in pink! well worth an upgrade to.
