Advantages: Nice to look at, very 'trendy'

Disadvantages: Hard to use at first

The LG Viewty wasn't actually my choice of phone. When shopping for a new mobile, I actually picked a Nokia, but after a couple of months I decided that I wasn't too impressed with a slide phone, and decided to swap with my partner who had the Viewty.

I had looked at this, and various other LG phones before picking the Nokia but overlooked them as the specs didn't seem as good as other brands.
However, what the LG lacks in spec, it certainly makes up for in looks!
It is a 'touch phone', with little stylus you use as a sort of pencil to type on the screen. I actually don't tend to use the stylus, and find fingernails work just as well!

I'm not going to sit and list the specs of the phone, they are listed under 'technical details' and I'm sure if you're reading the review, you've probably already got a good idea of the phone features!
However, I would like to give my opinion on a couple of the main features:

CAMERA
This seems to be the most important thing when people are picking a phone nowadays, but to be honest I don't really use the camera much. I believe the camera is very good - better than any of my previous phones anyway! The mbile turns sideways to use the camera, so has a lovely big screen, and works just like a digital camera. The pictures come out lovely and clear, and are of a good quality.

TEXTING
This is one of my main problems with the phone. Texting is not very easy, it's hard to get used to, and even now I find myself making lots of mistakes, and I have to go much slower than I would using another phone. On the plus side, there are lots of options - you can text using the normal keypad, turn it into a 'qwerty' keypad, or use the stylus to wrie normally, and the phone will guess the word you are writing. Definately takes some getting used to!

INTERNET
This is one aspect of the phone I'm not going to be able to comment on much, as for some reason it will not allow me to connect to the internet. I think this is more a problem with my service provider and not a fault with the handset though. The option for internet is certainly there though.

CALLS
Calls are easy to make, either going through the phone book section, or by touching a button which brings up a virtual 'keypad' which can then be used as you would a normal phone. The phone features 3 'real' buttons, one being the Call button and another being the End button, so making and finishing a call is easy enough!

Overall, I have had a few problems with the LG Viewty but nothing major. It is a lovely looking phone, and is above average for all major aspects.

Summary: A gorgeous phone, but nothing special features-wise
