I've had the LG Viewty (KU990) for approx 18 months now and I have a varied opinion on the handset, I seem to be one of those unfortunate people that has had nothing but problems with the handset as I am currently on my forth replacement because of various different problems,for example the Touch Screen stops working, The Flash on the camera stopped working, The phone kept switching itself off...But Don't let these problems put you off as I know many people that have had the Viewty handset and had No problems at all.

I initially got the Phone as an upgrade to my Orange contract, A soon as I saw it I loved it, It was sleek, Stylish, it did everything that I wanted and I really liked the idea of the touch screen functionality of the handset.
The Menu is realy easy to navigate and the touch screen is very user friendly and easy to use, the handset does come with a small Pen Stylus to use in combination with the touch screen but If I was to be honest I wouldn't bother, it kept getting in the way and mine fell apart after a few weeks. You may also find it awkward to use a normal keypad again once you get use to the touch screen function

I absolutely love the 5 Megapixel camera feature as I have a 3yr old little boy and there are many occasions when I need a camera to hand and with the Viewty I can reach into my handbag or pocket and know that whatever picture or video footage I take will be quality, although I would advise to buy a memory card for the phone as the handset does not come with one and the internal memory of the phone is not that big.

The Battery life leaves a lot to be desired, after approx 9months I found that I needed to replace the battery as the reliability of the battery holding a full charge anymore became very poor and I was constantly having to put the phone on charge to be able to use it.

All in all the Viewty is a nice little handset, It does what it needs to do and offers a good selection of different applications, even if some are very basic. The Camera is of really good quality offering the user 5 Megapixel and the sound quality is good too. Although the problems which I have encountered have made me question whether I would purchase a LG Phone again or not, Im still undecided
