Advantages: Good touchscreen and features
Disadvantages: Screen easily scratched & buttons can fail
I used this phone extensively over a period of 18 months. I would consider it an above average phone although I did experience some issues with it.
The main feature of the phone is the large touch screen. This has a high resolution and is lovely for browsing the web and messaging. The phone features 5 physical buttons and by the last 2/3 months I found that the 'clear' button would not work. There are workarounds to not being able to delete such as spelling properly first time or highlighting and replacing text but it's not something you can put up with for long.
I found the touch screen worked well for me and I was pleased with the response and haptic feedback (vibrations on each press). The full qwerty keyboard in landscape mode is a useful addition and it's a shame that it is not available whilst browsing.
The phone does allow you to multitask which is a good addition with being able to flick between the browser and messaging for example.
I found the media player to be very good for music playback although the requirement of having LG headphones is frustrating.
I found the digital camera to be adequate. I took a large amount of photographs (1gb or so) using this phone and most of them are quite blurry and aren't very memorable. This is partly due to the poor flash and although it's possible to play with the settings to get a decent looking picture (such as iso and black and white settings) the camera does forget these so you do need to reset them. This means it's not a camera you can pull out and take a quick photo with.
Although this may be my fault by using a low-spec memory card but I found the phone to be very very slow at viewing and browsing photographs and videos.
If you do purchase this phone I would highly recommend putting the screen protector on (mine came with one). I found out early on that the screen is easily scratched when I used the phone after resting my hands on a brick wall. Later on the tip of a pen scratched another mark into the screen so you may need to be very careful with using the touchscreen.
The battery life is standard for a smart phone but after 12 months the battery did struggle to keep up with moderate use over a day.
While most of my review has picked up on some issues of the phone I did use it extensively for browsing, text messaging and phone calls so it got a fair bit of abuse!
Summary: Overall good and I enjoyed using the phone but may not last as long as your contract!
