Advantages: Good looking, excellent camera
Disadvantages: Freezes, screen bubbles, expensive
I hadn't had an LG phone before but thought the LG Secret was so good looking and sleek that I would take the risk to move away from a Nokia.
At first the phone was wonderful, did exactly what it said on the tin. It does take a while to adjust to the touch screen as it is ultra sensitive but once you have mastered that then your away. The phone is quite heavy but not too much that it becomes an issue, the camera which is 5 mega pixels is fantastic very clear and so easy to operate. As a phone it functions well, easy to find contacts and dial, the only complaint would be if the sliding function is open when your talking and you touch the screen it can end your call rather abruptly so you do have to be careful.
Like I said at first I was so pleased and was recommending it to everyone I knew. However, within 5 months it had started freezing to the point where I had to take the battery out to turn it off, the apparently "High-grade carbon fibre and tempered glass materials" had stared to bubble and peel off the front which have made it look shabby and it would decide not to receive texts for hours until you turned it off and on again to discover that you had about 20 texts.
The phone was an upgrade so I didn't have to pay full whack for it thank goodness I would have been very upset if I had. Basically it is a lovely looking phone with excellent features there is no denying that but below the shiny exterior it just doesn't live up to its looks, don't be fooled once I can upgrade again I will definitely be returning to Nokia!!
Summary: A nice looking phone that doesnt live up to its promise!

- 26/02/09 Good start here and nicely written. I just think this would be more useful if you tell us how this performs as a phone. |
