Advantages: Good media centre
Disadvantages: Poor reliability when making and receiving calls
On first impressions this phone looks good, and feels good, particularly the sliding action, which is very smooth, however this is obviously not what makes a good phone.
Starting with the simple things, the start screen and menu are very easy to navigate. The directional buttons are touch screen and are again easy to use. Some people however struggle with the fact the select button is in the middle of the directional touch buttons, this is not something I personally find.
Specific features are a music player, which is very useful and provides good sound quality through the headphones however it does seem to struggle in terms of sorting out the songs into artist specific categories.
The media centre, which can be used in full touch screen is quite slow but can be a good little bit of fun every now and then, what does bemuse me is the fact that this full screen touch screen feature can only be used in the media centre.
The media centre also features a photo and movie editor however they seem rather complicated and time consuming to use and perhaps unnecessary.
The camera is of high quality, the pictures once put on the computer are top class, however the camera itself is slightly irritating, being slow and sometimes irresponsive.
Putting the very high standard of media entertainment the phone has, the major problem with this phone is the fact that it very often seems to drop calls, and turn on and off randomly, which can be very irritating when expecting a phone call. This problem has been chased up with LG who then 'fixed' the phone however the problem persists to date. After all, the main thing a phone is used for is to make, and receive calls, and when this feature is highly unreliable, it makes for a very off phone.
Summary: Not the best buy reliability wise
