The 3 network. We have all heard the good, the bad and the ugly about the network and their phones but here is the truth about my experience with 3. I bought the LGU8100 simply because I was bored of my little old nokia phone and wanted a change. The LG phone had everything I needed i.e. the ability to text and to accept and make phone calls, but it also had everything I wanted i.e. a camera, video calling, ability to download music and games. I had this phone as a contract phone with the 3 network. On recieving the phone I found that in no time at all I was able to navigate my way through the menu with no problems at all. The screen gives a good clear display and the pictures are of excellent qaulity. I found that I was missing a few calls due to the 3 network coverage, so I had the phone unlocked. Following this, I used the phone on several networks without any problems or missed calls at all. The WAP, MMS & SMS are all easy to use, although you do have to change the setting on the phone, however, these are easily available from your network provider. I purchased this phone after waiting for the Sony Ericsson Z1010 for about a lifetime and heard that it will not be released. The reason for buying this phone was not because I wanted this handset, but because it was one of the best handsets on offer that was available on the '3' network. I wanted to use '3' as they have by far the best value for money tariffs out there (See my review on the '3' network).
