... is a phone! This is not a toy. It is functional. The buttons are a convient size....and the software is absolutely brilliant. I have used Nokia, Siemens, and Erricson, and the Trium is by far the easiest to use. This phone also has wap (quite fast), and unbelieveably ( for the price) an IR Port. I bought this as a personal phone....but when I come to upgrade my work phone I shall certainly consider Trium ...more

Premium Review Mitsubishi Geo: The Ultimate WAP Phone (365 words)

This was the first WAP phone on Pay as you go with BT Cellnet. It started out at a very high price and came with many special offers. Since then the price has gone down drastically but the special offers are still there. Is this due to the phone itself, the retailers or the network? Well let me tell you about this phone... It's good... it makes and receives calls (when you can get network reception due to the poor quality of the aerial), it sends text messages (most of the time, it fails 5 out of ten times, it connects to the mobile internet (at 10p per minute when it actually decides to connect, plus the WAP access is fairly slow and poor as it is hard to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review not a triumph (131 words)

This trium is the cheapest WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) phone on the market. The phone is relatively cheap but if you are tricked into thinking that you want to access an internet from one of these things that will be the same quality as from your computer you will be severely let down. It is a step back in terms of quality and the only obvious advantage is that you can, in theory at least access the internet on the move, whether you will want to or not is another matter. The telephone itself is nothing special. There are no games, no tone composer and no changably covers but what did you expect for the price? To summerise: Budget phone with ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mitsubishi Geo: 200 free minutes per month (341 words)
by - written on 20/11/00 (Very useful, 111 readings)
Rating:

With an offer of 200 free minutes, to be used a weekends to 01 or 02 numbers and genie internet, I was tempted into buying this phone. The extra 200 minutes to 01 & 02 numbers is still a good bargain, and very useful. But the promise of being able to connect to Genie Internet ( wap ) service, as part of the free minutes, has proved more than disapointing. Since buying the pre-pay package from Tesco, for £29, I have never been able to connect to the WAP services. Even after several contacts with customer services and Genie Internet. The SMS service is good, and is the only benefit. With the ability to log into www.genie.co.uk and send free SMS ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review World Wide Wap (636 words)

All my friends and family were getting fed up of being diverted straight to my BT answer phone when calling my house. This is due to me being on the Internet all day everyday. I think the time had come for me to get myself a mobile. I wanted something cheap and I most certainly wanted pay as you go. That way, when I run out of money near the end of the month I knew I wouldn’t be able to continue to drum up hefty phone bills. I spotted the Mitsubishi Trium in PC World; this must have been over a year ago when this type of phone had just come out. It was £49.99, which I thought, was a decent price and so I bought it. Since buying this phone, the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mitsubishi Geo: Trium Geo - WAP phone with problems. (401 words)
by - written on 19/09/00 (Very useful, 622 readings)

I bought my Trium Geo back in May, when BTCellnet were offering £50 cash back when you bought this phone. I got £10 of free credit with it, too, so the phone ended up costing me only £20. Also, it is a WAP, (wireless application protocol, AKA internet), phone. Where's the catch? I had to send my receipt to BTCellnet to get the cashback. My phone started off fine. Then it started to go downhill. It freezes, (the only way to get it to unfreeze is to take the battery out), it refuses to call numbers, (giving many excuses such as "network busy",etc). I have extremely poor reception in some places, too. In fact, some times I have no signal at all. Now you ...  Read the complete review
