Advantages: Can connect you to the mobile internet
Disadvantages: Some features are only available to contract users
This was the first WAP phone on Pay as you go with BT Cellnet. It started out at a very high price and came with many special offers. Since then the price has gone down drastically but the special offers are still there. Is this due to the phone itself, the retailers or the network? Well let me tell you about this phone... It's good... it makes and receives calls (when you can get network reception due to the poor quality of the aerial), it sends text messages (most of the time, it fails 5 out of ten times, it connects to the mobile internet (at 10p per minute when it actually decides to connect, plus the WAP access is fairly slow and poor as it is hard to navigate around it), it looks fairly stylish (yet it is quite big and heavy at around 149 grams), it has a big screen (but not big enough for most WAP pages), you can use it on most networks (according to the menu functions you can even use it abroad, yet not on Pay as you go and isn't allowed!). Overall, I'd say that if you were to buy this phone, which I don't reccommend unless you get it on a good deal on it, at a good price and with some decent special offers, e.g. free wap calls for 3 months / 200 mins a month free, buy it on CONTRACT becuase then you will get a better service and better use out of the phone. More options are opened up to you if you pay monthly with this phone, you can use it abroad, you can use the conference calling features, you can divert you calls and use call waiting etc... but on pay as you go it's just a standard phone with good features, and a WAP enabled browser, which to be honest with you isn't that good!!! Could be a lot better!!! And this isn't just my opinion either, ask the experts and any of my mates who have this phone!! Don't be fooled by its appearance like I was, read the mobile magazines first.
