Advantages: It's stylish and looks good
Disadvantages: Not intuitive, almost too small as it gets lost in your handbag
This is the first (and last) Motorola that I've had. Like everyone else I've had Nokias for years but then moved on to Sony Ericsson, and how I wish I'd kept with them.
I have my mobile on contract so get the handset free. I use my phone a lot for photos and the Sony Ericsson I wanted needed a data cable which would cost an extra £25, so I was persuaded to go for the Razr which comes complete with cable.
It's very stylish and a nice colour, gunmetal I think he called it. It's very slim, so small in fact that it tends to get lost in my handbag, and I've missed a call by the time I've found it. However I find it totally alien to use and the instruction manual is incomprehensible. When the clocks changed recently it took me three days to find out how to change the time! It does come with a nice ring tone though.
I have to admit it is easy to use for text messages, but as I only send a couple of texts per month, my priorities are focussed more on its use as a phone, and to find a number is a slow business if you have a lot of numbers saved. Scrolling through can take for ever.
Fortunately there's only 10 months left before I can revert back to Sony Erisson.
Summary: Disappointed, and won't get Motorola again.

diffyb - 01.04.06 Sorry for the low rating but your review doesn't tell me anything about it's features, battery life, camera quality, etc. All the things that I would want to know before buying a mobile phone. If you decide to edit it I'll rerate. |
