Advantages: Looks nice
Disadvantages: Unreliable
I was given a bright pink girly razr as a present, to replace my brick phone which was solid and reliable, but a bit dull. And yes, as someone who couldn't give a toss about fashionable phones, this is a very good looking piece with lots of bells and whistles. It was like the Footballers's Wives of phones.
But like a lot of footballer's wives, there isn't a lot of substance, and it seems to crack under pressure. After only two months I began to get error signals (0108) and the screen would 'white out'. I treated it carefully, didn't drop it or anything so I was puzzled. Took it back where it was given a 'software update'. Now seven months later, I'm having problems with texting. I get texts but there's no 'you have a new message' sign. I have to go in and check to see if I have a new text. There's no signal, no visual, nothing. Also, I'm having problems sending some texts. Hours after sending a text, it's still 'sending in progress' sometimes days later.
I'm going to have to take it back for the second time seven months. This really isn't good enough. I'm not bothered about the photos and the bright graphics. What's the point if you can't send texts, and the software keeps cracking up? Maybe it's because the phone is so thin - I don't know. But I won't be buying this phone again.
Summary: Like a Footballer's Wife. Looks cute but not much going on underneath.
