Great little phone for those who just want the basics (Motorola PEBL U6)

Advantages: Small, stylish and amazing battery life

Disadvantages: Unreliable on occasion

I bought this phone in pink about three years ago and used it for a year before upgrading to a Razr. I hated the Razr though and recently went back to the Pebl and, to my amazement, it still works three years on. One of the great things about this phone is that it has really excellent battery life; even three years on I am still only having to charge it every 3-4 days. Fair enough I only use it for texting and I'm sure loads of phone calls would wear it down a lot sooner, but I still think that's really good considering my Razr battery was dying every single day and it was only a year old.

There aren't that many features which perhaps contribute to the long battery life, and the screen is a bit small and dated, but if you just want a simple phone which looks stylish and has all the basic functions then you could do a lot worse. It does have a camera but the quality is quite poor and I certainly wouldn't rely on it for important pictures.

One problem I have encountered, however, is that it often turns itself off for 1 or 2 minutes before starting back up again. It has always done this and it's not great when you're in the middle of a phone call! But, on the whole, this phone has been good to me and I would recommend it for those who aren't bothered about having phones which do everything except make the tea.
