The telephone distinguishes by small weight (about 100 g) and very ergonomic design. There rather complicatedly to understand organization of the menu after the first introducing with the telephone. For access to main functions there is a short menu, which contents can be changed independently. For example, to see date, it is necessary longly to ... Read the complete review

Being a Nokia user, I was given this phone as my work phone (the only reason I can think of is that it is tri-band) and found the transition really hard! Nokia has all the menus user friendly and set out in a way that makes sense, this is not the case with this Motorola. Menus are strangely structured and accessing functions is a ... I'm not looking forward to writing this review as I can feel tears welling in my eyes already. I live in the UK, where you are chained to a handset for at least a year - the only escape is paying £10,000,006 to upgrade or throw the blasted thing to the monkeys and use two cups and a piece of string till the end of your contract. I bought a ... Read the complete review

I miss my Nokia, I want my Nokia.....give me back my Nokia. I use to own a Nokia (if you had not guessed), and when my contract was up I decided to go for this phone as it was the only tri-band out on the market, and I had planned on visiting the USA and Canada. Well apart from that feature, I have to say that this phone is a pile of ... Read the complete review

I have been using a mobile for 5 or so years now and from the outset i purchased a Nokia 5.1. That phone lasted me 4 years until i decided i should take a dual / tri band phone so that i could use the phone when i went abroad. As it happened i bought the Motorola TimePort just as i needed to go to the Czech Republic which meant i ... Read the complete review

This is the worst phone I've ever used. I only keep it because it's tri-band and works all over Europe and the US. But I curse it every day. Let me give you some examples (see which functions you might use): I receive a text message, the phone says "Message received. Read now?" I press OK, but the phone then says ... I purchased this phone back in June 2000 for a mere £23.99 on an Orange tariff AND with all the accessories... that was an absolute steal as at the time the phones were retailing at about £99 as I recall! Currently I have seen it retailing online for £29.99, despite Motorola discontinuing it’s manufacture, and I have been offered £20-25 for ... Read the complete review

We went to get phones that we could use in Europe and the U.S, and needed wireless PC connectivity. The L7089 was the only one that could do this at the time. For use abroad, the phones have been great, signal quality has been good, and audio has been pretty flawless. However, living with these phones on a daily basis has proved ... This isn't a phone for everybody - not for people who want to change faceplates every month or play snakes on the tube. However, if you do a bit of travelling, and if you have a Palm PC, the L7089 is ideal. If you're travelling to the US, the tri-band support is essential; dual-band is fine if you'll never leave Europe. ... Read the complete review

Since buying my Timeport in March last year I've finally mastered all the controls and features! It's very complicated and even the guy in the shop couldn't help me on some things even though he uses the same phone! All that said, the standard features are excellent. I travel a lot on business and find that ... Read the complete review

What stands out about this phone is its size. At 4 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide and a little less than an inch thick, this is the slimmest sleekest GSM phone on the market. It weighs nothing (I kid you not, the phone hardly makes a bulge in the bottom of your pocket), and its included clip makes sure you'll never have to. ... Read the complete review

Phone has many nice features, but for EU folks, I agree with "Jamied" that Nokia or Siemens would seem to be a better buy. For we Yanks – it is the only game in town. World travelers, L7089 is the only all-GSM tri-band you can use in the US, and VoiceStream is the only all-GSM provider. US service fees are better than ... Read the complete review

I have had my L7089 for 4 months now and boy was it a waste of money! I am now on the sixth one an Orange have today admitted that this one (which I received last week is also faulty with the same fault. The fault is that when you lock or unlock the keypad the voicenotes start recording. If the the seventh phone is fault free it will be a miricle ... Read the complete review

The motorola timeport is a very good phone, packed with lots of features, however I do have to point out some negative points with the phone. When a leather holder is on, I have found that the voice activation button is difficult to press, even though I have a correct holder for the model. Also I have found no information concerning the ... Read the complete review

You want all the most relevant and useful features of current technology. It vibrates when your phone rings, if you are in the cinema and don't want to have popcorn tossed at you. You can call up telephone numbers by saying the intended recipients name, and this actually works! The battery lasts a reasonable amount ... Read the complete review

This phone is unbelievable at the price! The features it has are excellent. It's wonderful for PDA's, and works like a dream overseas. The voicetag system is great - you can add voicetags to numbers, which allow you to do verbal dialling by saying the tag name and the phone will call it for you. Great for when your hands are ... I bought this (on Orange), as I liked the feel of it and it was a nice size and weight for me (I'm a big dude and don't want a tiny little phone like the Nokia 8210, as it looks silly on me). It is feature-packed - vibrate when called, voicenotes, vaoice dialing, absolutely gorgeous screen (for me, the best thing about this phone), ... Read the complete review

This unique tri – band phone has an original design, it is slim and easily fits into your hand. With its weight of just over 100g and talk time up to 210 minutes, it is easy to use. If you would prefer something even simpler – then choose the one of the new Nokia phones. L7089 has a large phonebook capability, 305 names, but if ... Read the complete review
