Disadvantages: where to start?

I bought my phone from Carphone Warehouse almost half a year ago and probably paid too much for it.

Within the first three months I found I couldn't switch it on no matter what I tried. I had it fixed because they wouldn't give me a replacement or a refund.

Yesterday, about three months after the first breakdown, it happened again, but this time it lasted for half a day. It's now back to be fixed again. Whether it will stay fixed this time remains to be seen.

Anyone else had similar experiences?
