Advantages: light handset ,cool rubber out shell, big color screen,camera &polyphonic ringtones, great quality camera, good predictive messaging
Disadvantages: not bluetooth compatible,no radio, loud ring setting not very load, software problems(read on)
I got his phone in november after waiting ages for some stock to arrive, turned it on and compared to the nokia 3410 I had previouly it blew me away. the large colour screen was great I played around with the themes and colour schemes, played monopoly and stuntman to the wee hours. I assigned my friends and family pictures and voice tags and took a great deal of photos and sent them to every one.
here comes the bad bit!!!
the phone has a software issue that Tmobile isnt yet aware of so they say. If you do not have a good reception and someone rings you THE PHONE WILL SWITCH ITSELF OFF.
I ON MY SECOND PHONE AND ITS STILL HAPPENEING.
Tmobile say they will see if any body else rings in with the same problem but the will only replace it with the same phone until I have one that works(typical).

IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS EMAIL MOTOROLA AND TMOBILE AND LET THEM KNOW SO THEY CAN UPDATE THE SOFTWARE.
BU I STILL LOVE THIS PHONE AND WILL STICK WITH IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS TOO

- 23/02/04 I've just got this phone and i am having no problems yet with making and recieving calls. But everytime i have tried to send a message it has said that it is "unable" to send. This could be to do with something i am doing wrong but i cant see what. Its a great little phone i just hope i can sort this out problem. Even though i have only had it a few days i am impressed with everything else, the camera, the colour screen , features such as games and moto mixers and the wide variety of ring tones avaliable which can be set on a loud volume so that you are able to hear in a busy environment. |

- 23/02/04 I have the same phone and yes the same problem... I bought mine in November when they first came out too, not only does it switch itself off it doesn't deliver text messages either from me or to me. It states that my sim is not registered (contract phone been registered for years), and yes T-mobile gave me no help but told me to return it to the place I bought it, I called them and they have not had any stock back in since November....but yes I still love my phone lol |
