Motorola V3688

Motorola V3688 ... the petite size. It is small, lightweight and fits easily into any pockets or handbags. Having adopted the "clam shell" design used in the older StarTac phones, this dual band phone is able to provide a better contact between the user and the microphone. This helps to reduce the need to shout into the phone especially when the phone is used in a noisy environment.

Although it is a small mobile phone, the v3688 comes with a large Optimax high-contrast screen capable of displaying up to five lines of text and icons. This Motorola phone features a smart button for direct access to the phonebook. Other standard features like a 100-entry phonebook, vibration alert and 11 ring tones are included. Available in various colors, the v3688 is ideal for ladies as they only take up a little space in their handbags and can also be attached to a lanyard for hanging round the neck.

Premium Review Motorola V3688: If I was a tortoise I'd make love to this phone !! (689 words)
by - written on 28/02/01 (Very useful, 221 readings)
Rating:

Excuse the title but it got your attention didn’t it, if you saw the advert you know what I'm on about, if you didnt .... well, you probably think I'm a bit strange !!! This used to be my “going out” phone as it was small enough to fit in my trouser pocket and had a vibrate alert which meant I never missed a call in a loud pub or club. It was a bit of a pain switching SIM’s though from whatever bulkier handset I was using to the V series as I wouldn’t use the V for work or home for reasons I outline later. The above ritual however changed when I got my Nokia 8210 which now has my SIM in it constantly as it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review its tiny! (288 words)

Rating:

"Its tiny" - "i've had bigger bits eh corn on ma crap" a wise fat man once said. And it is very appropriate for this phone. The Main feature of this phone is obviously is size. It fits in almost any pocket and still gives some space. Its not too heavy and doesnt get in your way. You have the good choice of a vibration function, which can be useful when you wish to be that little bit more discreet. You have a choice of about 10/11 ring tones but are not able to make your one tunes like on the popular nokia phones. the Screen is easy to read and doesnt really require the use of a backlight. Premium Review Motorola V3688: Not that great (204 words)
by - written on 21/07/00 (Useful, 111 readings)
Rating:

The V3688 was my old phone before my 3210 and it was nothing special. This phone had three advantages. To me they were its size, although this may be too small for some people as on the odd occasion it did get lost, the vibra alert, this is useful and in my opinion every phone should have this, although it does shorten the batterylife, and finally the holographic display. This is great as it lets you see the screen very clearly without the need for the the backlights. This is due to the screen being able to reflect the natural light in such a way that the screen is illuminated sufficiently. This however is where the advantages end. This phone has complicated ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Unbelievably small, in fact too small  (107 words)
by - written on 02/07/00 (Useful, 62 readings)
Rating:

This phone is the smallest on the market, only weighing 83g and taking 75 minutes to charge – it lets you enjoy the benefits of communication, but it is too small. I found that the screen is brilliant, because the contrast may be adjusted to suite yourself. It has Vibrating alert and is data compatible. It is dual band and has talk time of up to 200 minutes, and stand by time of up to 125 hours. However my point is that this phone has very small keys – I found it very difficult to use and it is irritating having to press them all the time. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Motorola V3688: Does size matter???? (165 words)
by - written on 26/10/00 (Useful, 69 readings)
Rating:

The one key factor that differentiates the Motorla V3688 from the other phones on the market is its size. Does size matter? To some people, yes, but others may feel this phone is too small and has potential to be easily misplaced. Behind the stunning looks is there anything more on the feature side? Sadly the answer to this is no. In the current day and age where Nokia are adding more and more features to the range this phone lacks many features hence the lack of features may have been caused by the lack of size. This phone is excellent to show-off with and [erfect for those who hate carrying mobiles around as it fits discreetly in your pocket. The latest Motorola phone ...  Read the complete review
