I?ve had a few mobile phones over the last few years. I?ve always liked the style and design of Motorola phones. The Motorola v70e is just as good. It?s different from the v66 with it?s compass style front. LOOKS It looks excellent. If you want to keep up to date then this is the phone to hand. It?s light weight easily fits into your pocket. Put it one way, when someone rings you on your mobile, you won?t be embarrassed by it. Very trendy looking and if your image conscious this is the phone for you. FEATURES The phone has an excellent range of features and it will take you a bit of time to get use to. But, on the whole it shouldn?t take you very long to get used to the v70e. With the v70e you can: -use GPRS for a continuos connection to access WAP services and only pay for the information you download -always be in the know with information via Voice and Text media services -plan your day and manage your time efficiently using Datebook -change your phone to suit your mood by composing your own ring tone -you can call your most used numbers by simply saving a name using voice dialling or by creating a fixed dial -you can distinguish between personal and business calls with the 32 built in alert sounds. There are 13 main menu?s each with their own set of sub menu?s. -Browser -Information-you can receive information on Sport, Lifestyle and Finance instantly. (Graet for finding out the football scores when you have missed them). -Messages includes, Voicemail, Text messages, Quick notes, Outbox and Drafts. I like the drafts section it saves you from writing out the same message again. -Settings includes Ring/Vibrate, Call divert, Phone status, Browser status, In call-set up, security and other settings like what you want to have on main menu i.e Phone book or messages. -Recent calls includes received calls, dialled calls, notepad and call times. If you have a contract phone, call time
s is an excellent way of seeing how much free phone time you have left. -Phone book -Fixed dial -Quick dial -Calculator -Games includes Blackjack, Mindblaster and Paddleball -Voice dial With the v70e you can take two calls at once, you can make a new call whilst the first call is on hold. You can control your caller ID to control who you talk to and allows you to stop a person from seeing your number. If you have three phone numbers that you use very often, you can save yourself time by adding them to your Quick dial list. I like to send text messages, the v70 saves me time by letting me use the templates on the phone. The v70e has a WAP service so you can find out sport results, finance, news etc. The Orange GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is a new service that allows you to remain connected all day long and you only pay for what you download. It?s a good feature to have. You can have direct access to your Orange mail. Only drawback is that you have to register with Orange.co.uk where you have to set up your free email account. If you want to listen you news rather than read it then call 177 on your phone and set it up, for text alerts ring free 277 on your mobile and set text alerts. You can chose from 32 ring tones, you can adjust the volume, frequency etc. The motorola v70e is a excellent phone. It took me a while just to get over just how good it looks. Stylish, sleek and has excellent features. It costs upto £199 on pay as you go but if you get an Orange contract you can get it free. Overall is you are looking for a mobile then look no further. The v70e is brilliant. Excellent battery stand by time, very good reception and is for me perfect. It?s different to the Motorola v66 and it will definitely stand out from the rest of the mobiles.
