NEC DB4000

The NEC DB4000 is the phone I bought as a replacement for my Nokia 3310 (check out the op)and I was looking for a phone that done 3 things. 1) I could ring people, sounds stupid but I don't care wheter it has all the latest features and wheter you can have games on it. 2) Send SMS. The NEC DB (Dual Band) 4000 is one of a series of phones made by NEC. Its small light and easy to use looks nice and feels nice in the hand. The phone features a vibrating ringer, 14 ring tones, you can assign ring tones to 20 different people in your phone book and also features an answer/disconnect flip pad and flip pad auto keylock. This is my second mobile phone, having just sussed out the full facilities of my old Alcatel one touch-pro,(took me three years)! I had the chance to take an NEC DB 4000 as a free upgrade on my Barclaycard / BT Cellnet plan. It was worth it! It's a small, light, sexy silver piece of kit with a 'flimsy' but not poor quality feel. The only thing I can fault the phone on is the slightly small on off buttons, these are the primary function buttons and could have been designed slightly larger to allow ease of use. This phone i would say for the price is the best buy currently on the market. I brought the phone on pay as you go package from BT cellenet and have never looked back, it costed £70. It has many features such as a dictonairy which will check text messages. All features are easy to get to through the use of the central menu buttons. It has an onboard alarm plus clock, which works very well. The ring tones range from Bach to little jingles, there are 20 in all, plus the advantage of putting different ring tones on different people so you know who's ringing you.
