Advantages: 65K Colour Screen, Range of Features

Disadvantages: Ridiculous Battery Life, Size and Weight, Poor 3 Network/Service

Got this phone on 3-to-go just over a month ago. After plating around with it a lot I now have very mixed feeling about it and the 3 service.

Firstly the phone itself boasts loads of nice features and the screen is big and clear. The phone size isn't the smallest but you can forgive it because of what's inside. The weight isn't the lightest either. The video downloads are fantastic and a real showpiece.
Secondly the phone is a touch difficult to use. The menus are confusing as to which buttons to press at the correct time. Things like phone numbers can take an age to input and store. Games are all pay per play which at times can be frustrating.
Thirdly the battery life is ridiculous. You will need to charge this phone every night. If you do use it for things like videos you will get 2 hours tops before needing a recharge. Make a few calls also and you can reduce this even further. Even getting 2 batteries doesn't make up for this. Don't rely on this phone for weekend trips or emergency breakdowns. You have been warned.

All this leads me to the actual 3 service. The coverage is not there yet and you find yourself with a 3G phone working on a 2G network 80% of the time. On top of that when you do get 3G the signal strength can be 2 bars at best. Also the call quality leaves a lot ot be desired (quiet and echoing most of the time). To top this off when you call the customer services you are greeted by people who do not speak english very well and if you have a problem or want to disconnect they do not want to know. What sort of service is that?

Overall I think that 3G needs to be left alone for now until the technology is ready maybe in another 12 months. Stick to your 2G phone/service and what you know.

Good review. There is one other thing, once you have used up all your inclusive time you will pay 15p/min on all voice calls regardless of what phone you are calling (exept international). I am not happy at all with 3 and am trying to find a way to stop my contract.
THERE IS A NUMBER THAT WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE FOR THIIER OFFICAL COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT IT IS 01412 048645 (I cant say where I got this from as people could lose thier jobs)
