Advantages: Flash Light, handsfree speakerphone

Disadvantages: Easily powered if you press the red "Power" button consecutively.

While browsing for a simple phone at the sales counter, this N1208 caught my attention, being low priced (just below 33 euros), small, light weight. The phone has a 4 way naviagation key to access its menu. The features are identical to the N1200 except the latter has a monochrome screen. I decided on the colour N1208 to replace my mum's older N1100.

Basic access to the menu are similar to most Nokias, so there's not much learning curve involve.

I was very much attracted to this phone's flash light. There's always that moment you be in the dark and a flash light is always at your disposal. It can customised to have it turned on via the Right Menu key. Furthermore it has a HANDSFREE SPEAKERPHONE function too!

There's also the EXTRAS menu that has many useful functions such as CALCULATOR, CONVERTER (temperature, volume, area, currency etc), COUNTDOWN TIMER, STOPWATCH, CALENDAR, COMPOSER (do we need that?), FLASH LIGHT & interestingly a CHINESE LUNAR CALENDAR. However, your phone language needs to be in the Chinese language to access the Chinese Lunar Calendar.

The BL5CA battery can last nearly a week on standby.

There's just this one thing I dislike is, if you depress the red "Power" button consecutively, this phone is then powered off.

Overall, If you want a simple phone minus all the fancy functions. This is a good buy.
