Advantages: Battery life, simplicity of opperation
Disadvantages: Not easy to unlock at home
This is by far the best phone I owned to date. I usually buy my cellular phones to do just that: call people. I don't have any particular use for the oh so many functions in modern phones. As I said on my review of the Nokia 2630, I want a phone that is small and lightweight, simple to use and that has a loooong battery life. The Nokia 2310 has it all.
The menus still keep the simplicity of the older monochrome models and you can reach any function with just a few clicks. The color screen is a nice addition, although its low resolution is no improvement over the monochrome screens. It is also rather small but does the job. One nice feature that has saved me hours of boredom in aeroports is the FM radio, that is if I didn't forget the Nokia headphones, normal headphones will not work...
The keys could have been a little bit bigger but you get used to them quickly. It is also very ligt at only about 80g or so.
My favorite feature on this phone is, definitly, the battery life. A full charge could keep me almost two weeks away from the charger, and that is with the phone on 24/7. Of course I'm not a big of a talker but I do send a lot of text messages.
Unfortunately I need to move around more and this meant getting different SIM cards which I cannot fit in because you cannot easily unlock the phone... So I exchanged it for the 2630. What a step back that was...
Summary: Must be the nicest phone I ever owned and I now regret having exchaged it...
