Basic But Trustworthy

Advantages: nice design, does what you pay for
Disadvantages: not advanced, battery not the best
I always like to have a more simple phone and a smartphone as I don't always like to use my smartphone as it connects to the internet a lot by itself costing me a lot in excess money. I usually take this Nokia 2630 about when I am not in work as it doesn't hit off the touch screen in my pocket or connect to internet which is what I like. I know to some it is too old and a lot of people hate phones like this but if you want a simple phone that is easy to use, it is still ok to navigate.
This phone comes in a couple of colours, I have it in purple and silver which is the colour I wanted. It measures at 105 x 45 x 9.9mm and weighs 66g with the battery in it. It is quite a slim phone and is not too big which I like and it still has a colour screen and is button navigation only, so no fancy touch screen. The design is good as the buttons are actually quite big so they are easy enough to push in without any difficulty. It has a silver panel at the top under the screen with the green and red buttons and the rest light up.
The phone is ofcourse basic as you would expect it to be and one thing this phone doesn't have are Apps but that is not necessarily a bad thing, it has internet on this phone but it is best used for just looking at email as to look on any other websites, you won't get a sharp quality display and it is too simplistic, I'd rather use a monitor and save myself the extra charges. The phone also comes with built in Bluetooth, I never send ringtones or anything but have transferred photos back and forward on this and it is easy to turn on and off.
To get this phone up and running was definitely not difficult to do, it literally had a charger come with it and the battery was inserted and once fully charged it was good to use. It doesn't take long on the start up to load and then you can start to use it as much as you want. Speaking of charging, the battery on this phone is ok, not the best as I find I am charging it daily to keep it going but it is meant to have 6 hours of talktime on the battery and also 320 hours of standby time.
To be honest, I use this phone mainly for calling and texting but it does have the off extras too. It comes with 3 preloaded games which are Snake, Sudoku and Phantom, I don't really use these at all but Snake is the only one I have played. They are ok, I'm sure you can download more if that is not enough for you. The screen has a 128 x 160 pixel display on it and it has up to 11MB of memory also.
This phone like all mobile phones comes with a camera but it is not very sharp at all it has a 4x zoom on it which is ok but you wouldn't be printing any photos off from this as they have a grainy texture. However, to bluetooth photos from a smartphone to this shows up a bit sharper but still not the highest pixel display. The phone has a calendar and and alarm clock, again, standard features as well as a calculator.
The call quality on this phone is faultless, I never have any interference and it is easy to adjust the volume when talking. The call is a clear sound and it has a volume of 45cc. Messaging with this phone is ok, it is a bit slower to move to the next letter than other phones but it is ok, it is all done by buttons which is fine and you still get predictive text. I like with this phone that the emoticons show up as little faces in received texts and when sending texts so it makes it more fun.
The ringtones on this phone are not the best range, there are a few music ones and a few that are just noises but they do, I never expected a lot for a basic phone. You can download more ringtones though and again to navigate the phone is ok. I find though, it can be hard looking for some categories as they are under so many sub headings which makes it very confusing. The radio is good on this phone, you just plug in some earphones and the signal is good and it is alright for travelling.
In my opinion, this camera is good enough for what it is and the price that it is. You never buy these kinds of phones for apps or advanced features but it is good for those who get confused by technology and want a simple phone that is easy to use. It does exactly what you expect and it is not too expensive to purchase either and if you prefer buttons to a touch screen then this is an ideal model for you.
This phone can be purchased from eBay for as little as £21.99 which isn't bad at all. You can get them online you just have to look for the best prices.
