Advantages: Simple & easy to use for any technology phobe
Disadvantages: May not stand out beside iphones & smart phones
I love love Nokia mobile phones. From the very first one I've ever had (3210 no less), they haven't changed a bit. They are simple to use, the styke never changes, menus are always the same and are just generally consistent to no end. In a world where I Phones & Smart Phones are all the rage, this little beauty could very easily get swallowed up by the market or even left behind for ever. No chance! I bought this phone for my boyfriends father for his birthday. Being a typical elderly gentleman, he had no concept of current technologies or mobile phones. So simple, easy and effective was the word of the day. It was big enough not to get lost and small enough not to be a nuisance, perfect.
As it was a flip phone, John thought he had died and gone to heaven - 'just like on tv' he kept repeating. At first, it was difficult to get used to, for a man who wasn't up to date with technology. But after a week or so of constant use, he could text and call, use his phonebook without any problems. There are other menu options on the phone such as gaming, internet and even a camera, as per any modern day phone. We have yet to get to those however. We will leave the camera and instant messenging for another week.
