Nokia 3120 classic
Advantages: easy to use
Disadvantages: battery life and loudspeaker is quiet
I had to get this phone when my other went pop and it was a bit of an emergency purchase. Thought I was going to be disappointed but it seems a good little phone. If you're wanting all singing and all dancing then this isn't for you, but if you want a phone which you can call people on and send messages on then this is ideal. It's very easy to text on and seems to have a large memory for messages - it certainly hasn't prompted me to delete any yet and i have about 1500 in my inbox and 1700 in my outbox plus quite a few photographs - my old nokia used to tell me to delete photos or texts if I had a few of either! I'm also a fan of delivery reports and have never seen this before on any other phone - you have a delivery report box like usual but you can also see whether it has been delivered from your sent items, if it hasn't then it's a blank envelope. If it has then you get a little green 'i' on the envelope. Quite handy in my opinion as I used to get wound up checking the delivery reports box and trying to match up which sent message it referred to.
I did think I had a problem with the internal speaker as I couldn't hear people very well but haven't noticed it these last few weeks so not sure whether it was my ears or whether I just happened to receive calls in noisy places that week! Loudspeaker however isn't particularly loud if you're in the car and have general road noise. Oh and the battery life isn't fantastic but sufficient to just about last a couple of days with general use.
Overall, a nice little phone which seems to be reliable and easy to use.
Summary: Ideal for a basic phone
