Advantages: Reliable, lasts forever, indestructable.

Disadvantages: No cool features, very un-cool, large.

This Nokia phone is what, over a decade old? It's definitely true what they say - they don't make 'em like they used to. Of course in many ways that's a good thing, because this old phone doesn't exactly weigh you down with features. But on the other hand, the modern phones are infinitely more fragile than this old brick of a thing. The Nokia 3210 is, by today's standards, definitely a brick. It's almost 2cm thick at it's thickest point, about 15cm long and 3-4 cm wide. Plus the screen is only a fraction of that size and, of course, black and white. However I have always hung onto this phone as a good back up for the times when I drop my current phone into the sink or some such other catastrophe and I need a spare handset for emergencies. It's also great to have as a spare handsets if guests from overseas are in town and need a mobile to stay in touch. And I must say, for that purpose you couldn't ask for a better model. It has paid for itself over and over again. I have never replaced the battery and yet it still holds charge better than a phone one quarter of its age and even some of the newest smartphones! This handset only needs to be charged every few days, and is as solid as it's brick title would imply. Drop this phone and yes the plastic backing over the battery will probably go flying off but nothing ever breaks and you just clip the plastic back on again and off you go. No wavering screen, no strange drop-outs in signal (Apple, I'm looking at you!), just bog-standard mobile phone service. You've gotta love that.

Summary: Don't throw your old Nokia out!
