Possibly the most popular phone ever brought out before the iphone. Nokia's 3210 was the phone that everyone had back in 2002. It was so popular due to its easy of use, features and look. I had one, my friends had one, everyone had one, but were they any good?

The Nokia 3210 came in a standard box complete with charger and instruction booklet. As anyone with a Nokia phone knows you really don't need the instruction manual if you have had a Nokia phone before. This is because all their phones work in basically the same way.

Features of this phone included 10 volume levels, up to 24 saved missed calls/answered calls, clock, alarm, sms with predictive text, changable covers, various ringtones and 3 standard games. It sounds pityful in comparison to phones today but back then this was brilliant.

The game that will always be remembered on this phone is 'Snake'. In this game you had to control a snake as it got longer and longer as it ate more. You couldn't touch another part of its body with the head. This made it a very annoying but must play game. As a student, many hours were wasted playing this.

The battery charges quite quickly (in around 2-3 hours) and lasts for a few days with medium use.

You can still pick these up on ebay for less than £5 and for anyone looking for a 1st mobile phone this is ideal. Easy to use, durable, simple to charge and not too many features to be confused by. I would definately recommend especially if you want your child to have a phone but you don't want to worry about an expensive piece of kit getting broken or stolen.
