Advantages: Robust, Reliable, A cheap 2nd hand purchase
Disadvantages: Chunky & heavy, Lacking in modern features, No wap
OK, so it's getting on a bit now, and there are much smaller, sexier models out there, boasting much better features, but still this phone does have a purpose in life! You can pick these 3210's up 2nd hand on ebay now cheap as chips, and they make a superb buy. My girlfriend has only just pensioned hers off after 4 years of reliable service! It's a fairly chunky model, and there are certainly lighter models, but it is robust, can be dropped and abused repeatedly, but still is always ready for use. It has a good operating range, and is not often out of signal range (on vodafone at least!). It has a nice tactile keyboard making it a great tool for sms texting, and also has some classic games, including the original snake game! The battery lasts for ages (much longer than my current motorola v70), and if you just want a phone for emergency use, then this is a very sound 2nd-hand purchase, as it will simply do the job, without spending it's life on the charger, and if you're on a good network, will most likely have good signal wherever you happen to be. There are an absolute abundence of accessories out there, including hands-free, xpress on covers, multi-sim-card-backs, car chargers etc., and the best thing about all of this is because now this phone is one of the older models out there, the accessories are also as cheap as anything! So to sum up, if you want a nice flash phone, with loads of flash features such as wap, animated logos, picture messaging, infra red etc., then give the 3210 a miss. If you want a phone that simply gets the job done, and the flash stuff doesn't bother you, and you want change from £20, then go to ebay and grab yourself a bargain!

- 19/12/02 I apologise for my rating - I'm feeling a bit stingy - you give some really good info but it could have done with a few more technical details.
I think you're right though - mr delawney has had one of these for years without a spot of bother - we're very happy with it ;) |

- 17/12/02 I have a a samsung N620 which is a flashy little number but a bugger on your fingers when youre typing out text messages as the keys are so small. Give me a Dom Jolly effigy any time. |
