Advantages: Large screen, jam packed with features.
Disadvantages: Poor reception, buttons stick, applications timely to load.
The Nokia 3230 is referred to as a "Smartphone" this I assume is due to the amount of jam packed features found on this fairly new addition to the Nokia Marketplace.
This phone was free on my contract upgrade and I am still getting used to all the features after having it for 5 months already.

One of the main reasons I wanted this phone was to ensure that I had something as good as my previous Nokia 6230 which to me is stil my favourite all time phone, this phone seemed to have all of those features and many many more.
The camera has night vision and can be moved in various directions to get a great shot, the only disadvantage is that you have to keep the phone still for a good few secons to prevent the capture from going blurry.
The video is also great but again you have to move slowly or your images will appear blurry and hard to establish but the good feature is that it can record for up to one hour.
You can then edit your video and include pictures, frames and sound making this a phone function of your mobile phone.
The Kodak service is great if you take a lot of photos with the camera simply upload to the Kodak website and they will print and deliver to your home address. Images can be displayed in JPEG, GIF, EXIF, WBMP, BMP, MBM, PNG.
As with all nokia phones this comes with the predictive text facility and is great when you are trying to text in a hurry, this phone also has an instant messaging service and has endless opportunities that you would forget it is a mobile phone!
Download mp3 tunes and video clips and enjoy multiplayer games via blue tooth, file transfer from pc to phones it is great.
The phone is only let down by the memory capacity and the amount of time it takes to open applications, a bit tricky to get used to but now would not be without it!!
The phone comes complete with:-
Handset
Nokia Battery BL-5B
Nokia Standard Charger
Nokia Stereo Headset
Nokia 32 MB RS Multimedia Card
User Guide
PC Suite CD Rom

- 12/11/05 Rather than just listing the features, you could make your review far more helpful by sharing your experience of using them. You could also tell us a little more about such things as the battery-life (how long the phone will go before YOU need to charge it, as opposed to what the manufacturer says), and the quality of the reception. |
