Advantages: Sturdy, functional and great pre-installed games
Disadvantages: now completely outdated
This was my very first phone back in the day when I started year 5 and at the time it was amazing, the games that came installed on it; Space impact and Snakes II these two games are fantastic, and really improved the all round appeal of the phone, I think about six of my friends also had this phone.
The memory of the phone was ok for what I used it for, text messaging and phoning my friends, I could hold about 70 txt messages before it would start to request me to delete some texts to get new ones delivered to my phone.
The monophonic ring tones on this phone were horendous however some of them were particularly catchy dispite them sounding like someone was clawing at your ear drums. Sunny Walks was my personal favourite.
On the phone there was also a ring tone maker, where you could either make your own on the phone or you could use magazines or internet pages to get details on how to creathe sounds from your favourite songs. Of course a lot of these user-written ones could be terrible and sound nothing like what they claimed to, but at the same time there were come really good ones out there, and still will be if you look. It was a bit hit and miss but it was a nice addition to the phone.
I would also like to talk about the amazing survive-ability of these phones, as with all Nokia's they are extremely heavy duty when it comes to damage management. As I was young when I this phone I was also forgetful and clumsy with the phone, forever dropping it or leaving it places. Once it fell out of my pocket as I was crossing a road, there was a car coming and the phone got ran over, I dont know if it was just sheer luck or what, but there was very little damage sustained by the phone, the screen was intact the speakers still worked and I woulc still ring people and receive/send text messages. Of course there were a few scratches and grazes but I was amazed to see it still in one piece.
Summary: This is one invincible Titan of a phone, practically indestructable
