Advantages: Indestructable

Disadvantages: Its old

The Nokia 3310 was the first phone I ever purchased. It was the successor to the 3210, and as a result looked like a more curvy rectangle and had more features.
Back in the day when this was purchased it was around £99.
As with most nokia's of the time you could change both the front and back covers to a colour of your choice.

The actual phone is very compact but was quite weighty at 133g. The screen also was tidy being small and monochrome being only 84 x 48 mm. But this was great for its time. They originally were sold in two colours one being dark blue the other being a cream/white colour.
It had the usual 12 numerical buttons on the keypad and four more above them. These were the "c" for cancel or back, a long elongated button with a blue line on it for select and ok. The other button is for up and down.

The phone has many features and was top of its line when it was released in late 2000.
The features included calculator, stop watch , sms and a reminder.
It also had four games included, which were the ever popular snake II, space impact, pairs II and bantumi.

The nokia 3310 also had over 35 ringtones and even had space for custom ones, which could be downloaded or made in the composer application.

This phone was awesome, it worked, never had any problems at all and was 100% reliable. It's a shame manufacturers today don't follow this original manufacturing quality.
The phone would keep going regardless of what happened to it. Drop or get it soaked and yet it still worked after a little drying.
The phone served me well for a good few years.
10 out of 10 for build quality, reliability and for overall everything!
Well done Nokia for producing a phone that met everyone's demands, no camera thank god, it's a phone!
A very clever bit of kit for the time and it sold in its millions so that many owners/users can't be wrong!

Summary: Greta phone that just keeps on going!
