Advantages: Smaller, More Features
Disadvantages: Cost on Pay As You Go
Over the last one/two years, Nokia have really learnt what people look for in a mobile phone. With the introduction of changeable covers, games and a vast amount of ring tones and personalisation settings. The Nokia 3310 improves vastly on the 3210 and makes it a worthwhile upgrade. The phone is smaller and has the additional features, including voice activated dialling, picture messaging, vibrate alert, additional personalisation settings and so on. Most people would agree that it is a much more refined phone that the 3210. The phone is reasonably priced and if shopping around for a contract phone it should be insisted upon that the phone is supplied free of charge but most do state that the phone is now free. On Pay As You Go with Orange and BTCellnet the current high street price is £99.99. This, however, is sure to decrease in the short/medium term. When the Nokia 5110 and 3210 have been phased out, which is happening, because this is a replacement model. It is also worth remembering that if the phone is supplied by a Vodafone Service provider on a contract. Phone locking is not used, and the phone is supplied in a Nokia box without modifications, therefore it can be used on any network with any SIM card. Unlike standard Pay As You Go phones, which are always locked onto the specific network and I know for sure that Orange always use locking on contract phones. For the additional features this phone is worth considering as a cost effective option, especially if on a contract, because you should find that after a year this phone can be supplied free as an upgrade.
