Advantages: Good games. Reminders. Profiles. Good value for money. Small phone.
Disadvantages: Expensive. Easy to loose.
Although this is the first time that I've had a Nokia phone, I've always been impressed with the way they operate. I used to mess around with my mates' 3210's and thought that they were excellent. I then purchased a 3310 and I was sold. This phone has so many features on it that it'll keep you happy for ages. My favourite features are the voice activated dialling and the 459 characters that are available for text messaging. Yes you read it right, 459. The menu follows this order; Phone book; Messages; Chat; Call register; Tones; Settings; Games; Calculator; Reminders; Clock and Profiles. This list will vary with additions and subtractions depending on what payment plan you're on. The phone book has all the usual features, enter name, edit etc. It also has the opportunity to create a limited number of people of in voice activated dialling. Meaning you assign a word, typically their name, to their number. You can then say this word into the phone to call that person. It's a pretty cool feature. There are four games available on the 3310. Snake 2, this version has mazes for your snake to slither through, Bantumi, this game requires you to steal numbers from pots against the phone. The person with the most at the end wins. This is quite an addictive game. Also Pairs 2, a simple game of pairs with a time trial or puzzle mode. By far the best game is Space Impact. This is a 2D game that requires you to pilot a spaceship through enemy territory and destroy bosses on the way. Beware though; this game is heavy on your battery. A handy calculator feature is available. You can use this for simple calculations or you can use it to work out conversion rates. You can change the exchange rate to suit whatever currency you may wish to covert to or from. Reminders are also very good. The 3310 allows you to enter a small text reminder with the date and time of the event. It helps y
ou not to miss that all-important episode of Voyager. Profiles are a very good feature of the 3310. In case you don't know what they are, they allow you to personalise your phone in various ways. For example you may want a profile that makes your phone silent. This would be appropriate for funerals or at school. You can set one profile on your phone so that it doesn't ring when someone calls you. It just vibrates. On the other hand you may want a profile that makes the phone very loud. So you can set a profile for this. There are a few spaces for different profiles and these can be renamed. You can still send ringing tones to the 3310 from the internet as you could with the 3210. Except there are more spaces available for you to save them.7 spaces to be exact. You can purchase new facias for the 3310 too. The range of colours and patterns is huge. However these are 15 pound a shot. I haven't covered all of the features, but I explained all of the ones that I thought are relevant if you're thinking of buying a 3310. It is a very good phone that will be worth the price you'll pay for it. I would recommend it to any mobile phone user.
