Advantages: Games, Customisable

Disadvantages: No send phone book entry, Voice activation isnt that good

I first got my Nokia 3310 after my 3210 had broke. It has everything you want in a phone and more. I will take time to explain most of the features.
.
Send business card - In phone book it has an option of send business card, which I thought stood for birthday card, so I think they abbreviated it badly, though I think this function is quite handy to have so you don?t have to type out your number in a text message.

Assign tones - Enables you to put different tones to different people who are in your phone book (for example "Teenage Dirtbag" for your brother and "I will always love you" for your partner) This is a clever Idea, but if the designed purpose for this is to recognise who is calling, it would say on the screen (as the assigned tones are only for phonebook entries), and you're unlikely to remember who?s assigned what tone.

Predictive text input - This is very confusing to start with, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be flying. I find this very handy, and rarely cause any problems.

Smileys - I find these cute and useful as I often use smileys everywhere, even gives you room to add too yourself and you can edit the ones they give you.

Games - Pass your boredom on a train journey/waiting for your always-late friend by playing one of the games. The games you get are:
Snake 2 - guide the snake to collect the dots, you can choose different mazes and levels
Space Impact - Your a little spaceship that has to go through several levels killing other spaceships and each level has a boss
Batumi - You try get as many beans into your side as possible, this is very hard!
Pairs 2 - Memory game, you can choose time attack where you start at level one and after you've finished that one you move onto level 2 etc. until the time runs out, and puzzle mode where you choose a level and just match the pairs for that level.

Screensavers - Use any pictures Nokia give you or yo
u receive from friends, ringbone/graphic companies etc as screensavers that come onto the screen after you don?t use the keypad for however long you've put your timeout as. Timeout options 5 seconds, 20 seconds, 1 minute, and 20 minutes. There may be more after 20 minutes but i'm not completely sure.

Composer - Compose your own ring tones, this can be confusing, but if you manage to find your fave tune on the internet as a free ring tone, try to put it in because, although it might be bad at least you haven't spent £1.50 per minute on it by ordering over the phone

Reminders - All you do is type in something you would like to be reminded about and it Reminds you by flashing it up on the screen when the time you've set it for happens, you can also choose to have an alarm on it. You can set up to 10 reminders

Stopwatch - Counts down or up until you stop it. I only find this handy because the college course i?m doing requires accurate timing.

Calculator - Any simple maths problem solved, very handy, even has a currency converter

Alarm - Set an alarm, though it wont put any words on the screen, and can only be set for the day your are setting it.

Voice Activated dialling - This is not a new feature among phones, but a very handy one, only problem is it doesn't work that well, and you have to say the phrase several times before it works. As far as I know not many phones that have this feature work well, so it?s not just the nokia.

Speed dials - choose your most frequently dialled numbers and assign them to your keypad. Just Hold in appropriate button, and your ringing them.

The only feature I wish the 3310 had was the send entry, where you could send a phonebook entry to someone.

This phone is also customisable, through logos, back and front covers, ring tones and screensavers. I love this feature; it makes your phone more original.

All in all a very good Phone an
d I?d recommend it.

This is the phone I have, and I really like it. A good review, although a bit on weight and appearance wouldn't hurt.
