Advantages: Few
Disadvantages: Black and white screen, No different to Nokia 3330, Expensive
I bought the Nokia 3510 back in July, and found myself taking it back a month later. There were already better models for the same price or less, and I was less than impressed with the functions the Nokia 3510 had. The functions include: - GPRS support - MMS Recieve - Downloadable Ringtones, Logos and Screensavers - Interchangable Fascias - Polyphonic (MIDI) Ringtones What use is GPRS on a pay as you go phone? None of the five major networks support it as of yet, with only Virgin planning to in the next year. The MMS recieve was pointless too - It's a bit like watching snooker on a black and white TV - oh, and GPRS is needed to recieve them! The features on the phone were similar to that of the Nokia 3330, which is currently selling for less than £60. The midi ringtones that came with it weren't much better than standard rings! I wasn't too impressed with the voice quality, and signal quality, but maybe that was because I had a Sony before... and Sony phones are reputable for having good quality signal and speech. On the plus side, it was a well designed phone, being slim, and not having an aerial to jab in to your leg every time you sit down, and also having interchangable fascias - just a shame the bright green button at the top wasn't interchangable! But, luckily, now i'm happy with my Sagem my X-5, which is slightly smaller and has a full colour screen (for the same price!)!

- 27/08/02 I've had a Sony for a couple of months now ... and I impressed!
After having a dodgy [seriously dodgy] 8310, Nokia have dropped a little in my expectations. Although, I'm still happy with my 3310.

- 27/08/02 Talking of covers, my brother has a cover for this phone on his 3330! It has 2 buttons that dont do anything and a 2 way scrolling menu that only works one way as its the wrong cover! |
