get it if you want a standard asy to use phone!

Nokia really was the best back then and still is now (in my opinion obviously). And it is not just because it was my first ever phone and have just got used to the handsets ect. But it is because they just truly have the elements of an amazing phone.

Here the Nokia 3610 proves it once again.

To start off with it is as light as it could be without it flying off the table (that is a serious bit of exaggeration) but still the phone is small and light. It is far smaller than most of the other phones for its time.

Another thing is its durability. Like most nokias it just works what ever the weather. When I was first bought this mobile I was around 13, and like all 13 year olds I was constantly on the go and not really worrying about what happened to my tiny little phone. I must have dropped mine hundred of times and it never seemed to break.

Not only does it never seem to break but it actually looked really good too. Light blue washy colour was very 'cool' and fashionable and it had a real stylish sheik. What was even better was the fact that it came with a couple of other coloured sheets of paper that you could slip inside so you could have your own colour or if you canted a photo you could slip that in too. So basically you could style your phone to how you wanted it!

The stylish shaped bottoms set it in motion and the modern design is obviously what the later phones are model from. I really loved my phone and when I finally broke I was upset.

I love the way it is so easy and clear to use and you cannot get lost with the phone. Although it has not got all the fancy gadgets of the modern phone, it is a phone used to call from A to B and does so easily and perfectly !

While experimenting with telegraphic system Alexander Graham Bell could realized the possibility of developing a system to transmit voice. One day Bell and his assistant Watson were in different rooms to try a new transmitter. During the test, acid from a battery spilled on Bell’s clothes and he cried for help. Watson rushed into the room saying I heard every word that you said. That day was March 10, 1876. Bell succeeded in speaking or transmitting words of mouth by an instrument called Telephone. Bell invented the first telephone but the struggle continued to develop the system and to sell the concept. He invented the basic telephone system. Today, due to massive development, the whole concept has changed and we are going for Cell Phone. Few days back I was watching Indian News Channel and according to that channel, Cell connection in Indian cities like Delhi and Chandigarh is more than that of landline connection. This may be the case in all cities in a very short time because Cell culture is growing very fast due to its versatile use. Even in a small industrial town where I stay, there are two shops where one can get sufficient choice of cell phones to choose one. There is too much of choice to confuse one. What we need is a sturdy one but look matters. I am a Nokia fan. About two years ago started using a 3310 (still going strong - right one for rough service conditions) and recently replaced a 3315 by a 3610 for my wife. This cute model is not rugged like 3310 or 3315 but definitely look better. We choose the Silver (& white) one from six different colours (Fuschia, Blue, Grey, Red, Lime). One may also buy the covers of all available colours so that one can switch some other colour combination to complement dress or mood. Nokia 3610 presents ten menus - Messages, Call register, Profiles, Settings, Picture editor, Games, Calculator, Reminders, Clock and Services (WAP 1.1). Information about Nokia 3610: –
Dimensions as per available literature Size: - Length - 104.8mm Breadth - 44.5mm Height (Thick) - 21.8mm (top) and 21mm (bottom) Weight: Not very light weighing 91.5 gm Volume: not too small - 79cc Battery – lightweight BLB-2 (Li-Ion) and 830mAh. As per their claim, Talk time is 3 hours & 50 minutes and standby is up to 170 hours. Never got a chance to check this claim but its life is higher than that of 3310. Time Management >> On screen Date & Time with built-in graphic display can be modified as per you choice >> Built-in Stopwatch & Countdown Timer – You need not carry your stopwatch >> Repeated alarm feature - Set "wakeup call" and alarm repeats automatically. One can select different time from Monday to Sunday. One may select single alarm also. Messaging >> SMS alerts – SMS alert can be personalized as per our requirements. Use a ringing tone as SMS alerts instead of conventional one. >> Picture Message / Editor - Picture Messages is for sending graphics with short text message. We use it mainly to greet or wish someone. One may Edit / Create your own graphics. >> Multiple SMS – This is now a common feature but very useful though being misused by many. >> SMS as reminders - SMS may be saved as reminders so that need not type again. Very useful for routine reminders >> Templates – One may create own templates for SMS. Saving SMS as reminders / template helps one avoid the ordeal of retyping the same contents. >> Chat - Chat option implanted inside the Messages unlike that in the earlier models. Chat via SMS is really a fun. We use it to be in touch with the close one. Other useful features: - Display – Display is smaller than 3310 or 3315 but it is much brighter and clear. In fact reading screen is much easier. Language – In Asia
-Pacific version there are eight more languages of Asia-Pacific other than English. Rhythmic Backlight Alert – Backlight dances with ringing tone however we are not using it. Its powerful keypad light is good enough to replace punctured tyre at night or Candle light dinner. Frankly, one night we have used its light to replace tyre while coming back from Pune. Light is very bright – much brighter if colour is silver. Games – There are six different games - 'Dance2Music', 'Link5', 'Magic Draw', 'Space Impact', 'Snake II' and 'Bumper'. One may also download games from many Internet sites via Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). Reminder - Reminder allows to store a future event for notification at the appropriate time. You may also edit and send a reminder. Certification Information about SAR – (from a PDF file of Nokia) - As per their claim Nokia 3610 meets requirements for exposure to radio waves. Radio wave exposure measured as SAR (Specific Absorption Rate). As per international guidelines, SAR limit is 2.0 W/kg. The highest SAR value when tested for Nokia 3610 at the ear is 0.60 W/kg. For more information may try this Link – http://nokia-asia.com/apc/phones/0,5848,81,00.html As mentioned earlier 3610 is not as sturdy as compared to 3310 or 3315 but it’s cute with additional features. This machine is in use since three months and we have not faced any problem. After all, it is from Nokia.
