Advantages: Easy to use, sturdy and reliable
Disadvantages: I don't really like silver
I think too many phone designers have forgotten what the main point of a mobile is - to make calls! But then maybe that would do them out of a job.
The Nokia 5070 allows me to phone and text people without having to navigate a complex web of sub menus or taping the screen with what appears to be a tooth pick as if I'd purchased it from the Early Learning Centre.
On the few occasions that I have ventured further than the text function I have found it easy to access the news headlines and even managed to download a version of 'Puzzle Buzzle', which has proved extremely useful during the train journey to work. As has the radio function that helps to satisfy my Radio 4 addiction - Evan Davis on the Today programme gets me up in the morning!
The 5070 has also proved resistant to my destructive nature , having survived numerous falls from the extreme heights of my coffee table, kitchen sideboard and the bar of my local.
If you want a phone to ring people, to send the occasional text and that won't disintegrate when exposed to an overly active index finger, then the Nokia 5070 is perfect for you. I'll be asking for the 5070 in the future, but by then I'm sure a new model with a heap of unnecessary features would have replaced it.
