Advantages: Very reliable and hardy
Disadvantages: Camera not very good
I bought my Nokia 5200 3 years ago, have dropped it numerous times and it has been wet, bitten and stamped on yet it still works. For me personally this is its greatest asset: its reliability. Thats not to say it doesn't have anything else going for it because it has many features like:
Camera: This isn't very good. The image is very blurry and the camera on this phone is behind other phones out now.
Music Player: The phone comes with earphones of okay quality to listen to the music player. Its standard stuff, with the option to listen to songs by artist, album etc. One problem I found was that if you had a large amount of music on your phone there is a sligh delay between playing songs.
Bluetooth: A tool to connect to other devices wirelessly. Its on other phones but combined with the music player you can listen to music on your phone through the car stereo which is handy.
The way the screen slides up and down is a cool and unique feature. But be warned do not do it too vigourisly or else you will risk snapping it off. The phone is very hardy when the screen is not slided it up but make sure you do not drop it while the screen is slid up as it can easily break. The battery life is good too, it can stay on for nearly 3 days without use (although this is shortened over time) as long as you are not playing music or using the camera.
Summary: Reliable and cheap phone with okay features.

- 12/09/09 Never really been a fan of slide screens. What's it's like as a phone? |
