Advantages: Small, Reliable, Hardwearing

Disadvantages: Cases are expensive to get

I got this phone free of charge when I subscribed to a vodafone pay monthly contract (£13.99 for 750 mins+50 textxs) about a year ago. This is the first Nokia I have owned however, my family have had them in the opast and have always been pleased and I must say that I am with mine.

As with most phones these days it has the following features: stopwatch, thermometre, quick dial facility(voice tags), wap, currency converter, games etc... The phone is very durable having been dropped on several occasions and it still works fine. The only problem I have had is that when you turn the phone on it takes a while to load compared with other phones I have had and the menu can be a bit slow to load at times. This phone is very unique and I am not aware of others that are similar to this. In my opinion it is a lot better than other plain phones that all look the same.

Reception has never been a problem although I think some people have but this could be isolated incidences. Standby/talk time is reasonable with me only needing to recharge it every few days and this only takes a couple of hours with the standard charger. However, it is important to know that if you use some of the phones extra functions including the games then this tends to go through the battery quite quickly.

The phone has now been on the market for a couple of years so it can now be boght for approximately £100 which is not bad considering the price of many phones. One piece of advice though is that if you just want the phone to put your sim card into (i.e. pay as you talk customers) it may be cheaper to get one that has a sim card with it and just swap the cards over.

As the phone has been around a while now accessories are easy to get especially as nokia tend to use the same connectors for most of their phones. However, the replacement cases are fairly difficuilt to locate and can be expensive when you have.

I would certainly recommend people to get t
his phone even though it may not have colour display etc...
