Advantages: good music facilities, low cost on contract, simple to use
Disadvantages: not a brilliant camera, some manafacturing faults
The nokia 5800 is a brilliant phone, with all the features offered by many competitors, and the normal "easy to use" nokia interface, it is a very good all around phone.
The fact that it comes with an 8GB Micro SD memory card means that it has storage for music and photos to rival that of an iphone or ipod, however it can be bought on a contract which is far cheaper. Especially the newest models having nokia "comes with music" allowing you to be able to download millions of tracks for free and totally legally.
I have had some trouble with the phone however, with it stopping sending text messages. However, it has a 2 years manufacturers warranty so the faults were rectified for free with minimal fuss. Another problem is that the camera is not brilliant. Although 3.2 megapixel, the camera needs to be in good light to take a decent picture.
Also, as there has been a lot of 5800's sold, the support for them is good, with much information on the internet for any difficulties encountered and with nokias ovi store, there are many applications which can be downloaded. Very similar to apple's appstore.
In short, the 5800 is a good all around phone, and can be got hold of for cheaper than the iphone and has similar features.
Summary: great all around phone
