Excellent phone, does what it says! (Nokia 5800 XpressMusic)

Advantages: looks good, good battery life and easy to learn

Disadvantages: the smooth casing when scratched shows it up, people always comment 'but its not an iphone'

I rarely upgrade phones so choosing one takes time.

I decided on the 5800 as a lot of reviews said that it is an excellent phone, and it is!

Firstly the touchscreen, works well using fingers as well as the stick, the buttons are also large and texting is fine, however you dont have much feel with them so its something some people may not like.

The camera is adequate, not the best i have had but for a camera phone it works ok, and easy to use, especially with the large display.

The best feature is the music, it is suitably loud through the standard stereo speakers to be used by placing on a table, however it is not hi-fi quality through them so dont expect detailed music, but they are good enough to listen to. The nnavigation is easy for the music with the album covers being displayed.

The phone signal is good, better than other phones in the house, and the quality is excellent and clear.

The phone also has GPS, this is good and works well, however for navigation you need to pay extra, but the gps is handy to know where you are.

The internet is also good on the phone, works via gprs, 3g, but the best is via WLAN, the screen size is good enough to play videos/etc clearly, so good foe youtube and the like.

It was easy to learn to use, and like most nokias, it simply 'works'.

People compare this to the Iphone, but this is generally far cheaper and also not an Apple ;)

Summary: does what it says on the tin, Nokia quality, huge SWAPPABLE memory and just works!
