Advantages: Great Sat Nav, Clear and Bright Screen, Responsive
Disadvantages: Poor Camera
There is a very good reason why Nokia delayed the launch of the Nokia 5800 and that was to see all the good points of the other phones in the market and then create a phone that can rival the competition.
This phone has a very clear and crisp display and considering it is Nokia's first main attempt at a full touch screen phone, it is nice and responsive, which is a must for all touch screen phones when texting.
The phone has a tilt function which is great for watching episodes or movie clips that you might have transferred to it, using the supplied software CD.
One of the better functions of this phone however is the technology of the screen its self, the Iphone is heat sensitive, so can only be used with bare fingers but with this phone, you can use the built in Stylus pen (which I find very useful) the plectrum or anything that has an edge really. This also means that this phone while wearing gloves is great for the winter months.
Another totally fantastic application which this phone is the fully functional sat nav, I have used this in my car on countless time and being a previous owner of an actual stand alone sat nav, I would say that it easily compares to it or beats it in a way, as its great to only have to use the phone as a sat nav and not have to carry arround another piece of equipment in the car.
The only down side to the phone is the camera, it might have a good brand name but the resolution just is not upto scratch with other phones in the market. Its ok for taking photo's outside but indoors is poor.
A recommendation for this phone is to buy some sort of screen cover, as you can imagine, over time it will take its fair share of scraps and bumps.
Overall though a very good phone and one I highly recommend.
Summary: Overall a great phone and if not for the poor camera would be perfect.
